Following Jesus has taught me that life is all about having intimate and authentic relationships with one another and (most importantly) with God. That’s what we were made for. That’s what resonates most deeply in our hearts. That’s why our heroes are men and women who live out these truths to the best of their ability.
When I think about it, PR and Social Media is really just an extension of that. Especially Social Media, which is all about building relationships and helping other people find solutions, information, etc., that can help them get what they need. And with PR and Social Media, just like real life, you can smell a phony a mile away. Can’t you? The self-serving, self-promoting types quickly get unfollowed on Twitter and unfriended on Facebook.
My prayer and thought for today is to be authentic, and to build real, intimate and caring relationships wherever I can.
